Formal Proposal to Amalgamate (technical closure)
The Minster Nursery & Infant School and The Minster Junior School

Consultation Period:
12th June 2026 to 13th July 2026

Introduction:
The SDBE Multi Academy Trust are undertaking a formal consultation on the proposed amalgamation of The Minster Nursery & Infant School and The Minster Junior School to form a single Primary School with effect on/after 1st September 2027, if approved.

In order to amalgamate and comply with statutory guidance, it is proposed that The Minster Nursery & Infant School would (technically) close, with The Minster Junior School extending its age range to accommodate all primary-aged children from the two schools within the same buildings.
